
Mr. Musa Usman Musa
Kano State Agricultural Development Programme (Kano ADP)
Mr. Musa Usman Musa has been working with the Kano State Agricultural and Rural Development Authority (KNARDA) as a Field Extension Officer and business-minded farmer for over 19 years. He holds a first degree in Agricultural Extension from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, which he obtained through the Sassakawa Fund for Extension (SAFE) degree program. He later earned a Master’s Degree in Agricultural Extension from Bayero University, Kano. In addition to his academic qualifications, Musa has participated in numerous technical trainings, both locally and internationally. Notably, in 2018, he attended the Agricultural Extension Planning and Management course at the Tsukuba International Center (TBIC) in Japan, under the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Knowledge Co-Creation Program (KCCP). As a young Field Extension Officer, Musa had the opportunity to work with development partners; in 2016, he was engaged as a Farmer Field and Business School (FFBS) Facilitator under the Transforming Irrigation Management in Nigeria (TRIMING) Project, a World Bank-supported initiative. He later became an FFBS Master Trainer, facilitating FFBS trainings locally and regionally. Currently, he serves as the NIFAAS Zonal Coordinator for Northwestern Nigeria and is a member of the Nigerian Association of Animal Health and Husbandry Technologists (NAAHHT) and the Japan Alumni Association of Nigeria (JAAN).”
