Professor Emmanuel B. Tologbonse<\/strong><\/p>\n Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria<\/em><\/p>\n \n He is currently a Professor of Agricultural Extension and Rural Development at both National Agricultural Extension and Research Liaison Service (NAERLS) and Department of Agricultural Extension and Rural Development, Faculty of Agriculture, Ahmadu Bello University Zaria where he is\u00a0 involved in both Teaching, Research and training and monitoring \u00a0extension facilitators.<\/p>\n He was the Deputy Director at NAERLS\u00a0 and\u00a0 the coordinator of \u00a0all externally funded projects from October 2012 to October 2016 and \u00a0also a Board member of the School of Post Graduate Studies of the University from January 2013 to June 2016.<\/p>\n He was the Team leader\/ Back stopping scientist to \u00a0the Strategic Agricultural Research\u00a0 for Strategic Crop (SARD-SC) Maize of the Kaduna and Nassarawa States Innovation Platform funded by the African Development Bank and coordinated by IITA and currently a team member of the Harnessing Opportunities for Productivities Enhancement (HOPE) of Sorghum and millet in SSA Project in Nigeria\u00a0 and The Accelerated Varietal Improvement and Seed Delivery of Legumes and Cereals in Africa (AVISA) project \u00a0being coordinated by ICRISAT and funded by Bill and Melinda Gate Foundation.<\/p>\n Additional, he was the NAERLS\u00a0 Zonal Liaison Officer\/ Officer in Charge of the North Central zonal office at Badeggi , covering Niger, Kogi, Kwara, Plateau, Nassarawa, Benue, Taraba States including the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja from\u00a0 December 1990 to 2008 during which he \u00a0was the Secretary to the\u00a0 North Central (Middle Belt)\u00a0 Research Extension, Farmers Input Linkage System (REFILS) in Nigeria.<\/p>\n He was also an active member of\u00a0 National Growth Enhancement Support Scheme\/Agricultural\u00a0 Transformation Agenda (GES\/ATA) Working Group Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Abuja from 2013 to 2015 and the Chairman, Extension committee,\u00a0 National Agricultural Land Development Authority (NALDA), North Central zone ( Middle-Belt Zone) from 1991 to 1997<\/p>\n He was a National \u00a0Consultant to The Technical Centre for Agricultural and Rural Cooperation (CTA), The Netherlands\u00a0 and Niger State Niger State Fadama\u00a0 II .<\/p>\n He was the Head of Department of Agricultural Sciences, Federal College of Education, Katsina, from 1994 to\u00a0 February 1987 during which he also became the \u00a0Head of School of Applied Sciences, (comprising of Departments of Agriculture, Business Education and\u00a0 Home Economics) Federal College of Education . From 1986 to 1987 before he got appointment with NAERLS A.B.U, Zaria.<\/p>\n He is a\u00a0 life member of Agricultural Extension Society of Nigeria (AESON) \u00a0and Rural Sociological Association of Nigeria (RuSAN) and\u00a0 was the Vice President (North) of AESON for four years. He was also the Nigerian Forum for Agricultural Advisory Services (NIFAAS) before his recent appointment as the Acting President\/Country Focal Person of NIFAAS\u00a0 with effect from\u00a0 20th April 2020 after the appointment\u00a0 of\u00a0 the former\u00a0 Country Focal Person (CFP)\/President, Professor TJ Arokoyo was\u00a0 into the AFAAS Board as Directors.<\/p>\n He has been very much involved in the training and\u00a0 monitoring of field extension facilitators and lead farmers for the past four\u00a0 decades.<\/p>\n He is married to Abiodun Tologbonse and are blessed with five children\u00a0 and 4 grand children<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Professor Emmanuel B.
